Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Fact Check: Did Tom Tiffany Try to Overturn the 2020 Presidential Election Result? “Yes.”

MADISON, Wis. — A new fact check from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel finds that MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany tried to overturn the 2020 presidential election. If elected governor, election-denying Congressman Tiffany would be overseeing the 2028 presidential election in key swing-state Wisconsin, positioning an unwavering Trump ally to make critical decisions impacting how voters are able to make their voice heard. Recently, Congressman Tiffany ignored repeated requests for comment on Trump’s latest attack on mail-in voting, and this week repeatedly refused to criticize the action, despite the fact that “66,000 mail-in ballots are en route to Wisconsin voters and 36 have already been returned.”

“As the elected official who oversees and certifies Wisconsin’s elections, Congressman Tom Tiffany would be the single biggest threat to democracy in our state if elected governor and would certainly continue working with MAGA allies to subvert the will of voters,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “As governor, Congressman Tiffany would be free to continue his attacks on democracy from the powerful executive seat in Wisconsin.”
