Silverman Law Office welcomes litigation attorney Terisa Oomens, who handles business, property and probate disputes for clients across Montana.
Oomens grew up in small-town Wisconsin and set her sights on a legal career at 16. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, but the Mountain West won her over. She earned a master’s degree and a law degree from the University of Wyoming and discovered her appreciation for litigation.
Before joining the firm, Oomens worked in private practice and government, most recently as a staff attorney for the Montana Public Service Commission and as an attorney with the State of Montana’s Agency Legal Services Bureau. She has litigated disputes in administrative, state and federal courts.
She also serves as secretary-treasurer of the State Bar of Montana’s Natural Resources, Environment and Energy Section and is a member of the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2026-27 Leadership Helena class.

Outside the office, Oomens bakes and explores Montana’s vast public lands with her husband and their dogs. She especially enjoys hunting, hiking and wildlife photography.
