THICK AS THIEVES: Derrick Van Orden and Mike Johnson Campaign Together After Stealing Healthcare and Food Assistance from Wisconsinites

MADISON, Wis. — Today, MAGA extremist Derrick Van Orden joined GOP Speaker Mike Johnson for a press conference in a desperate bid to salvage his reelection campaign. Van Orden worked alongside Johnson to pass the Big Ugly Bill, a law that will kick nearly 30,000 of Van Orden’s constituents off their health insurance after the midterms and has already exacerbated food deserts in rural communities by ripping SNAP benefits away from working Wisconsinites, all to hand massive tax breaks to their billionaire donors. 

“D.C. Derrick Van Orden continues to parade around b-team Trump administration officials who he has worked hand-in-hand with to rip healthcare and food assistance from Wisconsinites, all in an effort to revive his reelection campaign,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Haley King. “This press conference is a slap in the face to Van Orden’s constituents who are worried about affording healthcare next year, and to those who have already lost food assistance.”
